2008. Beejing gets ready to start the most mediatic Olympics in history. A stteing where the two dragon’s battle is about to begin.
Aportrait about the exile and about the world’s ceiling future through the most relevant characters such as; H.H. Dalai Lama (temporary and spiritual leader of Tibet), Palden Gyatso (a monk who is author of “Fire under the snow”), Lhasang Tsering (poet and activist), JJ Exile Brothers (Blues Tibetan rock band), Thubten Wangchen (Barcelona Tibet house president), Mikel Dunham (writer), Loten (refugee, musician who lives in Switzerland), Richard Gere (actor) escaped testimonials after long journeys through the Himalaya with long prison terms.
Dragon, gives us a wide view of the past, present and future of Tibet and his relationship with China and Occident: the expansionism of the culture and the Tibetan buddhism through the exile (India, Nepal, E.E.U.U., Swirzerland, Spain...), last riots in Lhasa and the people testimony who had suffered persecution in one of the biggest cultural genocide of this century.

The development of this documentary is going to articulate around two parallel times. On one side it will give a chronological development of a historical document in which the facts of the events between 1959, year of the Chinese invasion of the Tibet, and 2009, in the present time, fifty years after such invasion. The second time in around to which is going to develop the documentary will be one of mythological fantastic character and will introduce diverse allegoric elements along all the audiovisual piece.
Within the historical background of the portrait of Tibet in exile by its past, causes and consequences, the invasion, the cold war and the Khampas. And on the other hand of its present, the exile, the expansion of Tibet in the world, the riots in Lhasa and the actions undertaken in the National. This portrait is built on the testimony of several people who have lived and played some of these events. Testimonies of the religious environment, of politics, artistic, of prisoners, or even from Occident told some of the issues we face in making a portrait of Tibet in exile. The locations in which these testimonies are located: in Tibet, in Lhasa, India, in Dharamsala and Budhgaya, and Barcelona, Spain.
The time of mythological fantastic character will develop a parallel action to the events among the ‘59 and the ‘09 by way of allegory. Beginning for the story of the king Gesar, one of the greater songs of the history dated among the III century and the II B.C. wich tells the heroic struggle of a Tibetan king who fought against natural disasters and disasters caused by men. Subsequently of the king Gesar will be introduced to the Chinese dragon and to the Tibetan one as symbol of two oriental forces that are found faced in a conflict. And to close the film, and by way of conclusion, will appear the snow lion as a symbol of the Tibetan people.
The historical development will be represented through archival material, photographs and video made for the project.
The time of fantastic character will be represented through the illustration and of the partial animation of the situations represented in the stories. Combin¬ing in this manner multiple techniques of visual rep¬resentation to portray to the Tibetan town and its culture in the exile.
Intimate portrait of a character, that reflects vari¬ous sectors of Tibetan society in exile, from political to religious, passing the artistic, social, historical, mythological or illegal: ex-prisoners, poets, Painters, musicians, members of the exile...
