"PALACE" is an unexpected visit to an ancient hotel full of mysterious and disturbing symbols. But all of a sudden, the building loses its importance and the ghosts of some lonely characters who play a supporting role take the leading role. The main characters are, indeed, the 1,500 people who live in this building. With any logic but lot of intuition this documentary film leads us to the tragic-comic stories full of nostalgia, myths and ghosts, social injustice, death and madness. One becomes observer of anonym and trivial stories hidden behind every door.We are not in Salvo Palace anymore, either in Montevideo or Latin America but in a maze of the ironies of life.
