ugees from the indian province of Bihar, live

situation and stripped of all linguistic, social
and cultural referentes, they survive in ab-
ject poverty and against widespread indiffer-
ence.
Yet they go on hoping for a brighter future.

WHEN YOU ARE DEAD
Juan Rayo is in charge of the morgue in
the Hospital. He, as the rest of the people
working with the deceased, thinks that his
job is part of a process that society prefers
to keep in the dark. What happens to us
between the morgue and the cementery
is still considered taboo. ‘When you are
dead’ glances at this mysterious and invis-
ible world.
