Varda es una mujer polifacética, capaz de concentrar sobre sí misma los roles y funciones necesarios para una producción audiovisual.
Comentamos aquí su documental sobre los espigadores (“Les Glaneurs et la Glaneuse”, 2000) donde Varda, aún no siendo antropóloga, nos muestra una serie de recursos e imágenes que se podrían aplicar a la producción antropológica. Con un antropólogo que, al reflexionar sobre la realidad y sobre sí mismo, genera una obra de arte, siempre personal, de y para la sociedad, donde él será parte de ella.
